Life was a kaleidoscope of excitement and joy, pain and sorrow

In three words, I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life. IT GOES ON!

A fun-filled holiday April 17, 2009

My short holiday will end in another 2 more days and I’ll be heading into second year. Let’s see what I manage to do during this very short 11 days holiday:

(1) Most important of all is I manage to get as much sleep as possible (although I still feels like sleeping now).
(2) Taught my mom how to use the computer, mainly how to switch on the computer, how to open a file from a folder in the desktop, how to use the Microsoft Word, how to print the document, how to use the save and save as function, how to create a table, how to underline and change the font size, how to undo, how to close a file, how to turn off the computer and the restart function.
(3) I finally learn how to use the Facebook after creating the account since last year and ignore it till now. Since I promised my best friend, Miss Cheah that I will learn how to use the Facebook, I am quite proud of myself that I didn’t break this promise with her although we made this promise like last year December during my one week holiday. Anyway, better be late than never.
(4) Went to the government office to change my IC. Though the whole process was done in 15 minutes and I waited for only 5 minutes, I still can’t get it why we have to pay 10 bucks for the new IC. Its their fault at first for taking such an ugly photo of mine 7 years ago and make me have to go all the way to their office to change my IC and still have to pay 10 bucks for it.
(5) Went mountain climbing with Miss Haw. Though we made it a point to climb to the peak, we didn’t manage to climb to the peak of Gunung Lambak due to the unpredictable weather. The sky is so dark that we decided to climb halfway. Actually, Miss Haw used a coin to decide whether we should continue climbing to the peak of the mountain or not, and the result it gave us is to forget it and just climb halfway. Well, since its fated for us not to climb to the peak, its not really our fault anyway.
(6) Went swimming once only due to the unpredictable weather too. Its raining practically everyday. Met my swimming coach. Surprisingly he still remember me although its been like 2 years since I learnt swimming from him.
(7) Taught my brother how to make a cheese cake. Turns out to be a total failure. Its my first time to fail to make a normal cheese cake because that “lovely” brother of mine poured way too much of condense milk. The cheese cake turned out to be more like scramble egg rather than a cake.
(8) Pay the school fees which is so darn expensive. No comment on this.
(9) Re-watched a Japanese medical drama – Code Blue. Only manage to watch one drama due to the stupid and useless streamyx at home. Its so darn slow and its always the port problem. I have to say, again, the Singapore public wireless is faster than the Malaysia streamyx. I wonder why we pay 66 bucks for.
(10) Tried out the newly opened Sushi King at the Kluang Mall twice. The sushi there… taste more or less the same as the other Sushi King branch in KL. Though they did lots of promotions to attract more customers.
(11) Bought a pair of shoes. Very comfy!
(12) Learnt how to use the Picasa programme and made a few collages.

I guess I did more than these but I can’t really it. Anyway, I have decided to get more sleep in what is left of my holiday. What to do, I just love sleeping! :P

The three bears… April 9, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — tseling @ 6:56 am

It was a sunny morning in the big forest and the bear family was just waking up. Baby Bear went downstairs and sat in his small chair at the table. He looked into his small bowl. It was empty! “Who’s been eating my porridge?” he squeaked.

Daddy Bear arrived at the table and sat in his big chair. He looked into his big bowl. It was also empty! “Who’s been eating my porridge?” he roared.

Mummy Bear put her head through the serving hatch from the kitchen and yelled, “For God’s sake, how many times do we have to go through this? It was Mummy Bear who got up first. It was Mummy Bear who woke everybody else in the house up. It was Mummy Bear who unloaded the dishwasher from last night and put everything away. It was Mummy Bear who went out into the cold early morning air to fetch the newspaper. It was Mummy Bear who set the table. It was Mummy Bear who put the cat out, cleaned the litter box and filled the cat’s water and food dish. And now that you’ve decided to come downstairs and grace me with your presence… listen up, because I’m only going to say this one more time… I haven’t made the porridge yet!”
