Two days ago, I was sitting in the lecture room waiting for the lecture to start when someone tapped on my chair from behind. I turned around and saw Mr Liew, one of my coursemate. He said, “Hey! I have a story about a cat to tell you all!” So, Miss Weng, Miss Chew and me decided to listen to his story about a cat (I sat in between Miss Weng and Miss Chew).
Mr Liew said that he and Mr Singh (also my coursemate and who happened to be my class rep too) stumbled across a stray cat at the ground floor of their HDB flat when they were walking back home the previous night (both of them live in the same house apparently). Both of them saw the cat and decided to buy something for the cat to eat. I have no idea why they want to buy something for the cat to eat when they don’t even own the cat. Anyway, they walked to 7-11 which is quite near to their house and bought a can of tuna for $3.40, if I remember correctly. They went back to the place where they found the cat and the cat was still there. They opened the can and spilled everything out from the can onto the ground. The cat sniffed at the tuna and guess what? It turned around and run away. Without even touching the tuna.
So, Mr Liew concluded his story with a statement, “That cat must be a vegetarian!”
P/S: I just received a news informing me that one of my primary school classmates passed away this evening due to bone cancer. Miss I., may you rest in peace. Life and death is so unexpected…
LOL! stray cats are leading a good life too. next time try Dory fish or smoked salmon.
