Yesterday was an eventful and fun-filled day for me as I spent the whole day outside, at the zoo in the morning till late afternoon, and KTV session with my coursemates at night till early 3 a.m. the next early morning. I didn’t sleep for straight 27 hours as well. Its a big record for me, although it was like a tiny weeny record if compare to those doctors who spend 36 hours working.
My day start at 5.00 a.m. yesterday. I slept for 3 hours only and was woken up by my ever faithful alarm clock. I bathed and washed my hair. I waited for at least an hour for my hair to dry before heading out at 7.45 a.m.. It took me at least one and a half hour to get to the zoo, which include all the waiting for bus and mrt. I bought a ticket for myself and waited for another one and a half hour for my friends to arrive. I don’t mind waiting for them as I know very well that there are traffic jam for sure at the custom checkpoint.
Anyway, we start our zoo visiting at 11.30 a.m.. We walked for like only half an hour when it started to rain. Yeah, just my luck. Raining when I was visiting the zoo. So, we went to see the polar bear because it is an indoor gigantic aquarium-like place. We sat on the bench and watch the polar bear swimming from lef to right and from right to left, repeating this routine for like million times. I don’t really mind watching the polar bear as I love polar bear the most out of all the animals in the zoo.
Luckily for us, the rain finally stopped after half an hour. We resume our walking and taking photographs all the way. We stopped at the famous Ah Meng Restaurant for lunch at 2.oo p.m.. By the way, for your information, Ah Meng was the famous orang utan of the Singapore Zoo. It passed away, I’m not sure when, and in memory and remembrance of Ah Meng, the zoo started to have Ah Meng Restaurant and lots of Ah Meng, the orang utan figures everywhere.
We went to the Splash Amphitheatre at 2.30 p.m. to watch a show. As usual, the show is showing us the penguins dancing and swimming in the water and things like that. And as usual, the very highlight of the show is the sea lion performing for us to see. Honestly, I think the sea lion performance is a huge disappoinment. Nothing special and too few challenging performance. There is no sea-lion-jumping-through-the-hula-hoop. The amphitheater is so small. I think there are at least 400 peoples watching the show and the amphitheater provide only about 200 sits. Of course, we are one of those many peoples
We continued our walking and finally finish watching all the animals in the zoo at 4.00 p.m.. The Singapore Zoo is just too huge. We spent nearly 5 hours there. We later took a bus to get to the Ang Mo Kio MRT station. At there, I bid farewell with my friends. They are going to shop arround in the AMK Hub while I’ll be rushing to get back to Jurong East as I’m meeting my coursemates at 7.30 p.m. for KTV session.
