Oh my… I haven’t been updating my blog for a month plus! But seriously, I’m freaking busy for the entire month of June! All thanks to the school for arranging all the assignments submission date so close to each other! I have to submit like 6 written assignments and 2 presentations, and worst of all, the due date for most of these assignments are so damn close to each other! I can’t even remember the last time I have a totally free weekend from worrying, doing and rushing for assignments!
Then there is the research that I’m involved in. Since we have to submit an abstract with result; latest by October in order to participate in the BioPharma Conference which will be held in December, we have been rushing like mad! Rushing for what? Rushing to process the sample! I’m currently processing the 2nd sample, which we collected the total amount of 20L from West Coast Park. Then we are going for the 3rd sample by the end of July, which is this month! I guess we should be taking the sample from East Coast Park for the 3rd sample. I have been talking, encouraging and praising my baby rotavapors everyday, to please evaporate the sample as fast as possible and please don’t break down on me and particularly now! Hopefully, they will feel my love enough and cooperate with me.
And since my research partner is busy with her final year thesis which will due in another 2 weeks time, I have been spending all my time in the laboratory processing the sample alone. Anyway, after she handed in her thesis, it will be my turn to take a break from this research. I guess I’ll be having a month long of break. The both of us are like taking shifts to go into the laboratory to process the sample and taking turns to go for break in between. Yes. We coordinate very well.
So, in between all the assignments and research, 2 of my K.L. friends decided to come down to Singapore to visit us. Us as in Mr Ching, Ms Hoo and me. The 3 of us did our A-Level together 5 years ago in K.L. and are currently residing in Singapore. As if I’m not busy enough and they, Ms Ng and Mr Tong have to choose last month to come down and visit us! Its like adding more bricks into my highly-dangerous-ever-increasing workload. However, I have not seen them for like 3 years, so I tried to make an effort and spend as much time with them as possible. I’ll blog on this short Singapore Trip with Ms Ng and Mr Tong when I have time. And actually, I really did miss them a lot and I enjoy our short little trip here.
Thankfully I manage to get rid of all my assignments on time by early this month. However, this means that exam is coming soon. And sadly, I have to admit that exam is indeed reaching soon!
Worst of all, I’m in my 3rd and final year, which means that exam questions will be much more difficult and tricky. Argh!!!
Since I will be taking a month break from research starting end of July till August, I have decided to participate in the Singapore Youth Olympic 2010 volunteering programme. The Singapore Youth Olympic starts on 14th August till 26th August and my exam will ends on 13th August. I will be volunteering as a National Olympic Committee (NOC) assistant, where I’ll be dealing and working with the Chief de Mission of the NOC that I’m assigned to. I still have no idea which team I’ll be assign to, but most probably will be a team from Asia since I’m grouped into Team Asia for yesterday’s training. I’ll blog more about this when I can find some extra time. Perhaps when I found out that there is 48 hours in a day? Anyway, it was really a great experience and fun-filled training yesterday!
I do have to admit that this term is really the busiest term in my course so far. Like I mentioned earlier, I can’t even remember the last time when I have a free weekend without worrying about assignments, research and now with exam. But somehow, I guess this is what life is about. At least, I’m still breathing and alive to be able to be this busy. Yes. I’m counting my blessing while drowning in all these busy-ness.

Sorry… Can’t help it. I’m seriously freaking busy and don’t have time to slowly write a nice and tempting post. Maybe after my E-Commerce exam, I’ll have some time to finally write some readable post.
