After the flight, we head over to the Marina Square for dinner at Swensen. We decided to might as well visit some of the tourist attractions since we were already there and all those places are within walking distance. And sad to say, at this point, I found out that the camera that I borrowed from my housemate ran out of battery! I dunno what happened because I vividly remember I charged it overnight!
Anyway, our first destination after dinner is the Double Helix Bridge, which will led us to the Marina Bay Sands. The bridge is unique in the sense that they actually put symbols like A connect with T and G with C. I realised that this is something that I learnt last time during the biology lessons about the DNA base pairing. Too bad my camera ran out of battery, if not, I’ll definitely capture a picture of it.
We decided to follow the path and found ourselves to be in front of the Marina Bay Sands. Actually, to be precise, its not really the Marina Bay Sands hotel, but the casino and shopping premises opposite the hotel. Too bad we didn’t have our passport with us, if not, we will go into the casino to have a look. Actually, it doesn’t really matter because the queue was so damn long that by the time we managed to get into the casino, it will be midnight already. Anyway, since we are not interested in the casino or the retail outlets around the casino, we head over to the hotel via the underpass. We reached the hotel lobby and cafe. I must said that the ambiance and environment around the lobby and cafe are of those high-ends and high class.
After basking in the high-ends and high class ambiance, we head out from the resort to our next destination – The Esplanade. Since I have never been to the Esplanade or the area around the Esplanade, I’m quite excited like a little child on Christmas eve. We hang around the Esplanade Park for a while before heading to the Merlion Park.
The Merlion Park is right opposite the Fullerton Hotel, which is a hotel that disguise in a castle-look. Of course, I already expected the hotels around this area will be of those 5 stars or even 6 stars hotel. To name a few, there are the Ritz-Carlton, Marina Bay Sands, Mandarin Oriental and Fullerton; and yes, all are within walking distance. I’m sure there are a lot more but I can’t remember all and don’t bother to remember them at all.
Anyway, there are a lot of people around the Merlion Park. Everyone is taking pictures of the Merlion and I can’t help but feel sorry for myself for not having my own camera. After hanging around the Merlion Park for a few minutes, we decided to head back to the Esplanade Park as they are having some sort of band performances there. We joined in the watching crowd and enjoy the performances.
Our short little trip finally ends with the ending of the performances. It was a fun-filled day and I have to admit that I really did enjoy being a tourist very much. I appreciate Miss Bobo for accompanying me and hope that I can visit those places again, but with a working and fully charged camera.
P/S: If anyone is interested in viewing more of the pictures that I took at the Singapore Flyer (and I highly doubt anyone is interested), please visit my Facebook photos.

Sure. But I never went into the Marina Bay Sands’ casino though. I just hang around outside because the queue was way too long. However, I did went into the casino over at the Sentosa. Not bad. Very big and the decoration is nice.

Sure. Sure. No problem. Better be fast. Because now no need to pay $100. If later got PR, have to pay $100 to get into the casino.
