I consider myself as a very lucky girl because I did not only have one best friend, but two. So, I’m sorry to say that I can’t blog about one of my best friend only because this will be very unfair for my other best friend. I simply couldn’t and wouldn’t choose one out of the two and yes, I know I’m greedy but I have to emphasize again,  I don’t want to be unfair to both of my best friends.

Moon and Star were, are and will always be my best friends; and I guess I should consider myself as Sun. We grew up in a small sleeping town right in the middle of Johor. The three of us have known each other since we were seven years old. We attended the same primary and secondary school and even spent 11 years together as classmates!

Just like how the moons, stars and sun each have their own axis and plane of existence in our solar system, the three of us are very different from each other.

Star loves Lady Gaga’s music as much as I love Beethoven’s music. Well, as for Moon, she practically loves any kind of music you can think of. You name it, she’ll love it. Moon can’t stand hot and spicy food while Star and I practically drop to our knees and start weeping out tears of touching when the both of us were presented with hot and spicy food.

Yeah. You get what I mean.

Actually, yes, we do shares some tiny, little common things as well. After all, 15 years of friendship will be such a waste if we didn’t influence each other in any way we can think of.

Like any other normal best friends around, we share secrets. Dark and forbidden secrets. We also share what we can’t tell our family or anyone about. Woes, sadness, problems, worries and whatever adjectives you can think of that fit into this kind of situation.

As the three of us are currently residing in three different countries, we use mainly MSN as our communicating tool. So, the chances of the three of us to get together in a room are very rare. However, if we ever did get the chance to get together, that is when we share our biggest common interest – food. Yes. We love eating.

So, you see. It’s not really that bad, right?

Anyway, my point is: Our differences did not stand in between us. It does not pose as a mountain in between our friendship and I’m grateful it didn’t.

I don’t need Moon and Star to do something really special and unique for me, just to make me feel touch and inspire by this friendship because their sole existence is more than enough. Sun appears in the day while moon and stars appears at night. However, I always believe that while Sun appears in the day, moon and stars are also there in the sky. It’s just that they are invisible. But they are there. That’s what matters.

Moon and Star, this post is dedicated specially for both of you. I’m really grateful and blessed to have the chance and fate to have the both of you in my life. So, every now and then, a nudge in the MSN will be totally fine for me. And Moon, just for your information, I have not forgotten that slap that you gave me 12 years ago and I don’t intend to erase this from my memory.
